My name is Ans Werker (1948) and I live in a small town called Hoorn in the Netherlands.

Since early childhood I draw and paint and took many courses in many subjects, techniques and materials.  For instance over the internet I took courses in Botanical Drawing and painting at the London Art College (UK), Dianne Suterland (UK) and Leonie Norton ( Australia) and many others.

I love to work with oilpaint in the Old Masters technique and I use Watercolour paint  for Botanical subjects. Pastel pencils are lovely for drawing portraits of animals (pets) and graphite pencils for portraits of people. I also use pure wool to make portraits of animals.

Furthermore I draw portraits of animals and people on commission.

For many years I teach Botanical drawing. I love to share my knowledge and experience with others and show my students what a joy it is to draw nature.

I hope you enjoy your visit. Many greetings Ans
